Bass Coast Shire is a 90 minute drive from Melbourne’s CBD and encompasses 865 square kilometres of land.  Its unique coastline is complemented by a beautiful hinterland.   The major centres of the shire are Wonthaggi, Cowes, Inverloch and Grantville.  Bass Coast is one of the few Victorian municipalities whose two major industries are tourism and agriculture.
