When we first put our house on the market we had been sure that somebody would fall in love with it instantly, the way we did when we bought it, and so we were disappointed that hardly anybody even came to look through it in the first six months.
One of our friends suggested we talk to Prom Country Real Estate. We were really impressed with the way Allen presented his ideas about how the property could be marketed. He had a plan, designed to bring people through in a concentrated time frame, and it all made good sense, so we agreed to give them a try.
We were blown away by the sudden flurry of activity. They brought a number of prospective buyers through in the first week, and amazingly we had an offer higher than anything that had been suggested previously, and when Allen had negotiated the best offer for us, we were able to accept it before the first open for inspection even happened! We couldn’t believe it when we discovered that the buyer had been living just around the corner all along: they just hadn’t really noticed our property before it was advertised with Prom Country Real Estate.
After so long with little activity, it all happened so fast that we were worried we might not be able to find a suitable rental in time for settlement. "We've Been Really Impressed with their Approach"
We’d been on the market with 4 or 5 other local agents for about 10 months without any interest or even an offer worth considering. There had been very few inspections and certainly no one had suggested that you have an open day – that was just not what was done.
A friend had suggested that we talk to Allen and Kaz at Prom Country First National Real Estate. We went with them because our intital contact with them indicated they could actually market our property. After our recent experience we were not sure what anyone else would have to offer that would facilitate the sale of our property. How wrong were we!
First off we were told that they had a plan. That was original. No one had even mentioned a concept of how to sell our property. They inspected our property and came back to us with ways to cosmetically enhance the property to enable a sale (also a first). It is irrelevant that you think the property is great – you need sometimes to be told that what suits you needs to be changed to embrace the buyer.
Kaz and Allen came to us with really good ideas about what we could do to help make our property more attractive to buyers. They were the only agents who really seemed to take control and give us feed back about our house. Now we believed that our property would sell. It was actually going to happen rather than hoping it would happen. The photos they took for the internet were fantastic. Even our friends said the house looked great. We even received comments about the presentation for the papers in comparison to what had happened prior. All off a sudden we had a written offer to consider and acceptance was not long after.
We have been really impressed with the approach that Kaz and Allen take in selling property. Nothing is too hard or too much effort. Time or place is irrelevant when needing to talk to them and discuss how everything is going. The plan really works!
